February 15th FROM 11 A.M. TO 2 P.M. - Individual students and registered student organizations are invited to participate in UT Dallas's chalk art competition. 

Date: Wednesday, February 15th. 

Location: The Chalk Art Exhibit and Contest will take place from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. on the mall area just south of the Chess Plaza. 

Set-up time: You may check in and set up any time after 11 a.m. Your art must be complete by 2 p.m. 

Supplies: We will supply each artist with a basic set of sidewalk chalk and hand wipes. You will need to bring any additional chalk/pastels or supplies that you think you will need. 

Theme: Completed art should reflect UTD school spirit with an option to utilize the homecoming theme “superheroes” as well. 

Space and Surface: Each artist will be working on a concrete sidewalk and will have up to an 8’x8’ space. Please wear appropriate clothing. Knee pads/cushion recommended. 1 artist allowed at the space at any given time. Groups may rotate up to 4 artists to work on the artwork throughout the given time frame. 

Awards Competition: Awards will be announced Friday, February 17th via social media. Follow @utdallasspirit to see results. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Most Spirited/Group, Most Spirited/Individual, People’s Choice, Most Creative, Best Use of Color.
