DESCRIPTION:Composer Dr. Robert Xavier Rodríguez – holder of an endowed 
 chair at UT Dallas and director of the Musica Nova ensemble – has had hi
 s operas and instrumental works performed worldwide. Forty-six of his comp
 ositions appear on commercial CDs (including a 1999 Grammy nomination)\, a
 nd all 151 of his works are published exclusively by G. Schirmer. He has a
 lso served as composer-in-residence with both the San Antonio and Dallas s
 ymphonies.\n\nAt the Multimedia 50th-Anniversary Celebration Concert: Musi
 c of Robert Xavier Rodríguez\, guest artists will join UT Dallas faculty 
 and alumni for a program of music inspired by playful reflections on love:

 Driving:  In Richardson\, from the corner of Campbell Road (east/west) and
  Floyd Road (north/south)\, go north on Floyd\, and turn left (west) onto 
 Bryce Jordan Drive (on the right\, it says North Lookout Drive).  Turn rig
 ht on North Loop Drive\, and follow it west through the campus.  Turn left
  (south) into Parking Structure 3 and park in levels 2-5.  There will be S
 huttle Service available to the Theatre for those who need it. \n\nWalking
 :  From the Parking structure\, take the walkway south toward the center o
 f campus.  Go left to the west entrance of the Jonsson Academic Center.  U
 pon entering Jonsson\, you will be on the ground floor\, which is floor th
 ree.  Walk forward and\, before you get to the elevator\, look for a door 
 on the left leading to stairs.  \n\nTake those stairs down to the second f
 loor\, walk straight ahead and turn right to go outside onto the mall\, th
 en look for the entrance to the Theatre\, which is on the right\, facing e
 ast.  \n\nAlternatively\, to avoid stairs\, walk forward from the Jonsson 
 entrance to take the elevator up to the fourth floor\, turn right and a qu
 ick right again (east) to find the elevator which is on the right before t
 he walkway to the Green Center. Take it down to the second floor and turn 
 right to go outside onto the mall\, then look for the entrance to the Thea
 tre\, which is on the right\, facing east.
