    • Dr. Mario Rotea, Erik Jonsson Chair in Engineering and Computer Science, department head of mechanical engineering, Director of the Center for Wind Energy
    • Dr. Bhavani Thuraisingham, Louis A. Beecherl, Jr. Distinguished Professor of Computer Science, Executive Director of the Cyber Security Research and Education Institute
    • Emily Lacy, Associate Director, Office of Sponsored Programs Administration
       
  • SESSION DESCRIPTION: Getting to know Program Officers is a good use of your time, and it is always a great idea to contact them to discuss your research and specific interests. These interactions often pave the way for future funding. Join former program officers, Drs. Rotea and Thuraisingham, as they share best practices for engagement.
     
  • *EXTRA MILE* BONUS SESSION: Join us after the live presentation for an extended Q&A with our featured speakers in a more relaxed setting.  This additional time will be hosted in a MS Teams Meeting, allowing YOU to engage in further conversation face-to-face.  Extra Mile sessions will immediately follow each "Research 101" presentation, from approximately 12:45-1:15 PM.

Advance registration is required and will close at 10:00 AM on the event date.  

Upon completing the Eventbrite form for each individual event date, registrants will receive a confirmation email immediately with links to add the webinar to an online calendar of their choice.  Instructions for HOW TO JOIN the MS Teams Live* event will be emailed to registrants after 10:00 AM on the event date. 

 

*About our virtual platform:

This live event will be offered through Microsoft (MS) Teams. Attendees should be able to view the live stream video via any internet browser by copy/pasting the emailed Attendee Link into the address bar; however, we do recommend installing the MS Teams app on your computer/smart device prior to the event for the best user experience.
