Psychology Lecture Series - Virtual Event

Title - Aging Well Together: Couples’ Relationships and Physical Health Through a Lifespan-Developmental Lens

Speaker: Stephanie Wilson, PhD
Southern Methodist University

Dr. Stephanie Wilson will present a framework that integrates perspectives from health psychology and lifespan developmental psychology to reveal how couples’ relationships may be linked to their physical health. Using this approach, she will consider novel implications for healthy biological aging, evaluate the theoretical supposition that couples’ relationships improve with age, and discuss that the health consequences of intimate relationships may strengthen with increasing age.
