Comet Calendar

Welcome to the first annual School of Arts and Humanities Dean’s Suite Gallery Series! The School of Arts and Humanities is currently accepting proposals for student artwork to be displayed in our main office in the Jonsson Building.

This year’s theme is NEW BEGINNINGS.

Submissions for existing artworks and proposals for new works are welcome!

REQUIREMENTS: Open to students enrolled in the School of Arts and Humanities as of Fall 2022. Accepted students agree to loan work for the 2022-23 school year. Students may submit proposals for up to 3 artworks/spaces. Submissions should adhere to the theme. Content must be appropriate for an office environment.

Artwork must be able to fit one of the spaces within the dean's suite:
Space A
Space B
Space C+D
Space E+F
Space G

PRIZES: Each accepted student will receive $150.00. One student will receive an additional Dean’s Distinction Award of $150.00.

SUBMISSION: Please complete our online submission form. Make sure that you are prepared to identify the following:

  • Which space your piece would be able to be hung
  • The artwork medium
  • The number of pieces for that proposed space
  • The total dimensions of your piece(s)
  • How your work represents the theme and is indicative of the best UTD has to offer in the arts

The submission deadline for the 2022-23 school year has been extended to May 20, 2022.
