Chess Fest welcomes all casual and avid chess players and chess enthusiasts! Numerous activities, talks, chess tables and plus grand master challenges make up this fun annual event.

Blindfold chess games will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21 in the Eugene McDermott Library lobby from noon to 2 p.m. UT Dallas chess team Grandmaster Brian Escalante and Grandmaster Rahul Srivasthav, who will be blindfolded and will be unable to see the position of the pieces or touch them, will take on any student. The blindfold exhibition demonstrates how top players can “see” the chess board in their minds as they play.

All ChessFest events are free and open to the public.
