CHINA Town Hall (CTH), a two-part program that provides a snapshot of the current U.S.-China relationship and examines how that relationship reverberates at the local level – in our towns, states, and nation, connects Americans around the country with U.S. policymakers and thought leaders on China

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Kurt Campbell, will be the featured speaker for CTH 2024, a national conversation on how the U.S.-China relationship affects our cities, towns, and communities, on April 9. From supply chains to national security, new technologies to climate change, the future of both countries will be determined by their relations with one another and the global community.

The Center for Asian Studies at UT Dallas (CAS) in collaboration with the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce Dallas (USCCC) will participate as a local host. Dallas will join more than 80 venues across the country for the program, which will feature Kurt Campbell in conversation with National Committee on U.S.-China Relations President Stephen Orlins via a live webcast, followed by a local and virtual discussion facilitated by Dr. Denis Simon, who is a Distinguished Fellow at the Institute of China America Studies in Washington DC. He will speak on the topic of "Technology, Innovation and Talent in China: Implications for U.S.-China Relations"

Since CTH began in 2007, the National Committee has proudly partnered with a range of institutions and civic groups, colleges and universities, trade and business associations, world affairs councils, and think tanks to convene town halls and bring this important national conversation to local communities around America (and a few overseas).
