Champion: to protect or fight for.

You can become a Champion by attending Culture of Equity Training. This training provides an opportunity for participants to express concerns, ask questions, and learn about issues affecting the women, all gender identities and surrounding community. After completion of the 3-part training, participants will receive a certificate, Culture of Equity logo, resources, and will be equipped with the tools necessary to:

  • Examine your own attitudes, behaviors, and values, and to challenge others to do the same
  • Identify and Share relevant resources and/or where to find them
  • Respond compassionately, knowledgeably, and safely to issues of sexism
  • Appreciate and value the contributions of women and gender minorities
  • Support and safeguard the rights of women and gender minorities

Culture of Series 101: Knowledge is Power - In this session we will discuss terminology and review gender equity issues through a historical framework.

Culture of Series 102: Intro to Gender Equity - In this session you will examine your own attitudes, behaviors, and values through a gender equity lens, as well as begin to explore what becoming a champion looks like.

Culture of Series 103: Championship Skill-Building - In this session you will learn to respond compassionately, knowledgeably, and safely to issues of sexism, as well as identify and share relevant resources and/or where to find them.
