Title - Discrimination of Overlapping Rhythmic Patterns
Speaker: Melanie Holmes
PhD Student, UT Dallas
Previous research indicates listeners show increased errors in tracking overlapping musical rhythms, particularly as the ratios between rhythms become more complex. This talk will present findings on whether listeners can even determine if two overlapping rhythms are the same or different and how changes in onset delay affect accuracy on that task.
At 2:30pm on Feb. 14, join the talk on MS Teams.
