Psychology Lecture Series - In-Person and Virtual Event
Title - Effect of Skewness on Risky Decision Making in a Visual Performance Task
Speaker: Galston K. Y. Wong
PhD Student, UT Dallas
Previous research have frequently studied skewed risky decision making using monetary outcomes, but less so with alternate rewards. This talk will present preliminary findings from younger adults on a risky decision-making study, where participants completed a visual search “cover” task and made decisions that impacted the difficulty of that task. Using multilevel binary logistic regression modeling, we examined how skewness impacted gamble acceptance rates.
This talk is in-person in JO 4.306 and also is a virtual event. At 2:30pm on April. 4, join the talk on MS Teams.
