UT Dallas acknowledges the contributions made by the members of our armed services.
Students graduating from UT Dallas who serve or have served in the U.S. military, or who will be commissioned through R.O.T.C., will be given a special red, white & blue honor cord for their graduation regalia. If you are graduating this December (or the previous August), you are invited to attend a virtual recognition ceremony via Microsoft Teams to honor your military service and recognize your academic achievement.
RSVP for honor cord is required at utdallas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2faXVD7k1Kd85Zb
The MVC will verify proof of military service. Veterans that are receiving federal benefits (GI Bill) or state benefits (Hazlewood) already have this information on file with UT Dallas. Other veterans must present to the MVC one of the following: military ID or DD-214. R.O.T.C. students will be verified by their units at UTA or UNT.
Cords will be mailed to registered graduates by the Military and Veteran Center the week of November 30.
A Microsoft Teams link will be provided following registration.
