A Bunch of Short Guys, in partnership with the Bass School and UT Dallas, are proud to announce the return of Industry Giants to campus on October 4th, 2025. 

The 19th annual Industry Giants conference presented by the nonprofit guild, A Bunch of Short Guys, offers a full day of inspirational speakers, portfolio reviews, figure drawing, Artist Alley discussions, and networking. Industry Giants features a distinctive lineup of top industry professionals working in animation, visual effects and games.

UT Dallas students:  Visit IndustryGiants.org and use the following code at checkout:  UTD_PARTNERSHIP

• This code is valid for a FREE Student Ticket, which also grants access to the Portfolio Review signup for Juniors & Seniors (available on a first-come, first-served basis).

  • Click "Apply" to apply the code, which will zero out the ticket price. 

  • Students must use their valid .edu UTD email address during registration.

  • Only Junior and Senior-level students are eligible to use this code to sign up for a free portfolio review (available on a first-come, first-served basis).

• Students MUST use their valid .edu UTD email address during registration.

  • Registrations made without a UTD email will be canceled.

• Only one portfolio review slot per student is allowed, due to limited time and availability. 

• Register TODAY to reserve a spot for a portfolio review. They will book up fast! 

Check out the event schedule on the conference website, which is being updated with additional speakers regularly. Programming is 9am to 6pm. If you book a portfolio review, make sure to arrive early. 

And note there's another opportunity to network with speakers and attendees at the famous annual After Party, which takes place at The Londoner Pub in Addison from 6:30-11pm. Attendees are responsible for their own tabs. This separate event is not in any way affiliated with UTD.
