Thursday, April 6 at 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Do you enjoy sharing stories and reciting poetry with your friends? Do you come from a culture with a rich oral tradition? Join us for a night of storytelling, oral history, poetry reading, and more!
Similar to the poetry cafés hosted by Beatniks in the 1950s and '60s, participants will have the opportunity to take up the microphone and share stories, oral histories, poetry, or other spoken-word performances from their culture with their fellow Comets. There will be tea, coffee, and an assortment of snacks to enjoy as you listen to your peers share their stories. Even if you do not wish to share a story, come and enjoy this fun, intercultural event!
