Over the years, Comets Giving Days have become a UT Dallas tradition for alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of the University to #COMETogether to make a difference for UT Dallas, our Centers and programs.

Donations can be made from 10 a.m. on April 6 till 6:49 p.m. on April 7 online or in-person at a table outside the dean’s suite (JO 4th floor) from 11:30-2:30 p.m.

• A&H Dean’s Challenge: $1 for $1 match up to $5,000 (Update: this challenge was refreshed with an additional $5,000 match!)
• Friends of the Arts and Humanities Match by Karen Wolfe: Longtime supporter Karen Wolfe is offering a $1 for $1 match up to a $1,000
• A&H Staff and Faculty Match by Holly and Michael Miori: The Miori’s are matching $1 for $1 match up to $200 for faculty and staff

Timing-based Bonuses:

• 1st Gift: When the clock strikes 10 a.m. on April 6, be the first to make a gift and win an additional $50 in bonus funds for the area of your choice!
• 52nd Gift: Make the 52nd gift and receive an extra $50 in bonus funds to the area of your choosing.
• 883 (UTD) Gift: The person who makes the 883th gift of the day will win an extra $100 to support his or her area of choice.
• 1,969 Gift: Make the 1,969th gift of the day and earn an extra $100 to designate to your UTD area of choice.
• 2,022 Gift: The person who makes the 2,022nd gift on Comets Giving Days will add an extra $100 to their area of support!
• 3,000 Gift: Win an extra $200 for the area of your choice if you are the 3,000th gift!
• Last Gift: When the clock strikes 6:49 p.m. on April 7, the last recorded gift will receive an extra $200 in bonus funds!
• Night Owl Leaderboard: The group with the most gifts between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. on April 6 will win an additional $100 in bonus funds!
• Early Riser Leaderboard: On April 7 from 5 to 7 a.m., help the group you love receive the most gifts. The group with the highest total will win $100 in bonus funds!

Quantity-based Bonuses:

• 22 Gifts Leaderboard: Help your favorite Comets Giving Days group reach at least 22 gifts on April 6, and they will be eligible to win an additional $200 in bonus funds. Winning group will be picked at random.
• 52 Gifts Leaderboard: Help your favorite Comets Giving Days group reach at least 52 gifts in honor of UT Dallas' 52nd year on April 7 to be eligible to win an additional $200 in bonus funds. The winning group will be picked at random.
• Small School Leaderboard: The school that rises to the top will earn bonus funds! A&H is normally fiercely in competition for this bonus!

Specific to Alumni:

• Most Alumni Gifts Overall: The group that receives the most alumni gifts on Comets Giving Days (all 1,969 minutes) will also pocket an additional $100 in bonus funds!
• Most Alumni Donors (Day 1): The group that receives the most alumni gifts on April 6 will also pocket an additional $200 in bonus funds!
• Most Alumni Gifts (Day 2): The group that receives the most alumni gifts on day 2 (April 7) of Comets Giving Days will also pocket an additional $200 in bonus funds!
• Alumni Power Hours Match: April 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. is the alumni power hours match. During these four hours, all alumni gifts $2 to $19.69 will be matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $1,969. Make your impact go even further!

Specific to UTD Employees:

• UTD Employee Match: All gifts of $2 to $19.69 made by UTD employees from noon to 4 p.m. on April 6 will be matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $1,969!
• UTD Employee Power Hours: Make your Comets Giving Days gift on April 6 from 4 to 6 p.m. and receive a dollar-for-dollar match for all gifts $2 to $19.69, up to a total of $1,969!
• President's Faculty/Staff Power Hours Match: On April 7 between 10 a.m. and noon, Dr. and Mrs. Benson will graciously match all gifts of $2 to $19.69 made by UTD faculty or staff, up to $1,969!
• Faculty/Staff Challenge: When 300 faculty/staff gifts are reached on Comets Giving Days, an additional $50,000 will be unlocked thanks to a generous gift from retired faculty member Larry Sall and his wife Judy Sall.
• Most UTD Employee Gifts Bonus: The group with the most UTD employee gifts will win an additional $100 in bonus funds!

Specific to UTD Students:

• Student Match: Make a gift of $2 or any other gift up to $19.69 on April 6-7 and your donation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $1,000!
• Seniors Match: Are you graduating in 2022? Make your gift of $2 to $19.69 from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 6 and receive a dollar-for-dollar match!
• Student Challenge: When 300 student gifts are given on Comets Giving Days, a $2,500 gift to the History of Aviation Collection will be unlocked, thanks to a generous gift from Judy and Larry Sall.
• Most Student Gifts Bonus: The group with the most student gifts will receive an additional $100 in bonus funds! Remember, the minimum gift amount is only $2.
• International Gifts Bonus: The group that receives the most international gifts on Comets Giving Days will win an additional $100 in bonus funds!

Special:

• Comet Cupboard Food Drive: Bring any non-perishable food and toiletry items to the Comets Giving Days food drive for Comet Cupboard and be counted as one of our amazing giving days donors! Food collection will be in the Margaret McDermott Trellis area from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on April 6 and 7. Make your gift count!
• #COMETogetherUTD Bonus Challenge: Let us know why you're supporting Comets Giving Days using the hashtag and tag @UTDallasAlumni for a chance to win an extra $100 in bonus funds for the area of campus you are most passionate about. The more people using the #COMETogetherUTD on days leading up to and on April 6-7, the more winners we will pick!
