Psychology Lecture Series - Virtual Event

Title - Investigating the Role of Temporal Processing in Syntactic Language Processing

Speaker: Hyun-Woong Kim
PhD Student, UT Dallas

Emerging evidence indicates that music and language rely on shared cognitive and neural resources for temporal processing. This talk will present investigations of the role of dopamine genotypes on individual differences in musical rhythm and linguistic syntax and the impact of auditory beat stimulation on syntactic processing and will discuss plans to leverage these methods to better understand the neurobiological basis of developmental language disorder.
