The STEM Stars Summer Camp is a weeklong, hands-on program designed to inspire the next generation of innovators. Open to students ages 11–14 (Week 1) and 15–18 (Week 2), this immersive experience is offered in partnership with Illuminate STEM and introduces participants to cutting-edge fields such as robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), drones, engineering and 3D printing.

Hosted by the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas, the camp provides students with the opportunity to explore emerging technologies while building valuable skills in problem-solving, teamwork and critical thinking. Through engaging projects and collaborative challenges, participants will experience university life and gain insight into future STEM pathways and careers.

Throughout the week, students will:

• Explore robotics, engineering, artificial intelligence, drones and other emerging technologies
• Participate in hands-on projects, design challenges and technology-focused activities
• Collaborate with peers on team-based innovation projects
• Develop critical-thinking, problem-solving and creative-thinking skills
• Learn from STEM educators, engineers and technology professionals
• Experience a university environment while discovering STEM pathways and career possibilities

Campers will be encouraged to think creatively, tackle real-world challenges and build confidence through exploration, collaboration and innovation. The program’s goal is to help students transition from consumers of technology to creators of technology. Lunch and snacks are included.
