Join us for a free lunch & learn on how to build an effective Business Model for your for profit venture using the Business Model Canvas template with Paul Nichols, Assistant Professor of Practice with the Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship!

 

Event will be hosted by Cat Kim, US Army Student Veteran, working with the National Veterans Leadership Foundation in the Entrepreneurship Military Community Advocate Program.

Speaker Biography:

 

Paul is an accomplished innovator and business process strategist with a history of successfully applying and pioneering new technologies and techniques to solve real-world problems. His unique skills and experience have been applied in a variety of industries, from venture capital to entrepreneurism and national politics. He is a highly effective leader and team member with leadership training and practical experience in getting small, highly skilled groups of people to deliver new solutions and approaches quickly with limited resources.

 

A trusted communicator, he has testified twice in front of Texas House of Representative Select Committees on the need to increase public university research funding, the economic value of commercializing Texas university research, and the importance of state-funded high-tech entrepreneurial investment for the continued growth and health of the Texas economy. He has been interviewed by local and national media, has written on entrepreneurship for groups including CES/Consumer Technology Association, and is a frequent speaker on process improvement, innovation, entrepreneurship, and teambuilding.

 

He has been an active volunteer in the DFW technology community, as a Tri-Chair of the Innovation Committee with the Tech Titans (formerly Metroplex Technology Business Council), and a longtime volunteer and course guest speaker at the University of Texas at Dallas Jindal School of Management. He is an active alumnus, mentor, and guest speaker for the UT-Dallas Cohort (full-time) MBA program, is a member of the UT-Dallas School of Arts & Humanities Advisory Committee, and was part of UT-Dallas' inaugural First Freshman class in 1990.
