The On-Ramps into Academia program by UT Dallas offers a one-day workshop for women scientists and engineers who have earned their PhD and are interested in transitioning to academic faculty positions from their current roles in industry, consulting or national/research labs.
This program is part of the Identification and Recruitment pillar of the ASPIRE2, which strives to increase the participation and advancement of women faculty in science and engineering. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the job application and interview processes, startup negotiations, and how to obtain funding during their first years in academia, among other pertinent topics to help make the transition successful.
