Opening the can of worms: Strategies for navigating challenging discussions
Facilitated by Dr. Salena Brody, CTL Associate Director
Ever find yourself steering clear of certain topics in class because you're not sure how the conversation might unfold? If you're looking to build your confidence in handling these moments, this workshop is for you. We'll explore practical strategies to help you prepare for and navigate challenging discussions. We will discuss developing effective discussion guidelines, creating discussion prep work & avoiding surprises, encouraging quiet students, and creating a classroom environment where multiple perspectives can be shared. Join us for bagels, coffee, and conversation.
