Free EventThe Graduate Studies Office of the School of A&H is excited to announce expanded writing resources this fall semester! Thanks to the success of our initial writing program launch and the helpful responses from faculty and student surveys, Linda Smith-Brecheisen will be adding more one-on-one Graduate Writing Consultations and 4 advanced writing workshops. Registration is required and must be completed the week before any given workshop. Slots go quickly, so sign up as soon as you can.
The dissertation proposal can help set you on a successful course towards researching and writing your dissertation. It can also be a mysterious and frustrating process that stalls your progress. In this workshop, you will submit a draft of your dissertation proposal and we will discuss effective revision strategies to ensure that your proposal is clearly communicating your dissertation research plans as well as the interventions your work will make in your field(s). This workshop is for students currently working on their dissertation proposals. Proposal writing samples will be collected from and distributed to workshop attendees the week before the workshop and should be at least 2 pages, but no more than 10 pages.
Registration is limited to 8 students.
Writing samples due by Monday, October 18.
The workshop will take place on Teams on October 25 from 2 to 4 p.m.
