Friday, April 22, 2022 8am to 5pm
Free EventPhotoworks 2022 represents a selection of creative work completed by advanced photography students from the University of Texas at Dallas, curated by faculty member Marilyn Waligore.
These students reflect on identity and presence and consider our relationship to the environment. Portraiture serves as a process for exploring identity, studying the human body, and investigating psychological states. Documents of the environment reveal markers of human presence in overlooked spaces. These artists share the goal of encouraging the viewer to become more perceptive, more aware of how the camera extends our vision and understanding.
