Physics Colloquium: Photon Entanglement in Rindler and Minkowski Space-Time

Dial-In Information

This hybrid talk will be available on MS Teams.

Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 4:00pm to 5:00pm

Sciences Building, 1.210 Sciences Building

Dr. Marlan O. Scully (Texas A&M University)

An accelerated ground state atom moving through a static electromagnetic cavity emits acceleration radiation into Minkowski modes of the field. On the other hand, a static ground state atom interacting with an accelerated cavity can emit a Rindler photon into the cavity. These two complementary points of view are not equivalent but yield alternative insights.
