During this interactive session, Dr. Chandramallika Basak, Associate Professor of Behavioral and Brain Sciences, will discuss the heart and mind connection. Advancing age, coupled with a more sedentary lifestyle lead to a reduction in arterial wall plasticity and Mild Cognitive Impairments (MCI) in older adults. Dr. Basak will share how her research on modifiable neuroprotective factors, arterial wall plasticity and physical fitness, can prevent decline in executive functions.
