According to the World Health Organization, the toll air pollution takes on a human body is equivalent to eating an unhealthy diet and smoking. Clean air is necessary for optimal health.  A multi-disciplinary team at UT Dallas, including Dr. David Lary, is installing sensors that detect air pollution in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Real-time air quality maps will be created using the data collected from the sensors and weather radars. He'll discuss his research at this Research 411 Talk Show.
