Responsible Conduct of Research Development Series: Introduction to RCR

Join Office of Research professional staff and guest speakers as they share valuable information to support your efforts in conducting research at our University in a responsible fashion.

The Office of Research will deliver the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Development Series* coursework virtually on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-1PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 15th through October 8th. This is a unique opportunity for students, postdocs, and staff receiving support from NSF and NIH grants to complete the required training. Ordinarily, the RCR training requires in-person attendance, however the NIH is now permitting this to be done on-line.

NIH will allow for special circumstances for trainings and instruction that typically require in-person attendance, such as training in the responsible conduct of research (NIH GPS Training can be completed online during this declared public health emergency. Prior approval is not required in these specific cases.

Completion of all eight 1 - hour Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)sessions, in addition to the online RCR foundations training, is required to satisfy NSF and select NIH Grant funding requirements.

Advance registration is required and will close at 2 hours prior to the event start time on the event date.

Upon completing the Eventbrite form for each individual event date, registrants will receive a confirmation email immediately with links to add the webinar to an online calendar of choice. Instructions for HOW TO JOIN the online event, including the attendee link, will be emailed to registrants after 2 hours prior to the event start time on the event date.
