Free EventExperience a concert featuring jazz virtuosos Rosana Eckert and Mike Steinel as they blur conventional genre lines and combine intricate vocal and instrumental melodies in this not-to-be-missed musical performance.
A musical musician of many hats, Mike Steinel is more likely to pull a velvety tune out of his lid than a rabbit. An acclaimed trumpeter, educator, and author, Mike has entertained audience globally and has recorded with a remarkable catalogue of groups and collaborators.
Mike’s most recent album, Song and Dance, was released through Origin Records in 2018, which features vocals from north Texas’ preeminent jazz and voice virtuoso, Rosana Eckert.
Rosana’s energy and generosity of her performances have gained her a reputation as both an entertaining solo act, as well as an invaluable addition to her numerous bands and projects.
A masterful pianist, French hornist, arranger, and composer, Rosana’s pieces have been performed to thrilled audiences worldwide. Her vocal work was present in the 2021 posthumous release of Lyle Mays’ “Eberhard”, which was nominated for a Grammy Award.
