William Sage, MD, PhD. is a Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of Law, and a Professor of Medicine in the Department of Translational Science at Texas A&M University School of Medicine, Fort Worth, Texas, USA. He is an Assistant Vice President of the university’s Health Science Center. Dr. Sage’s research interests include health system improvement, health equity and access, health care value and efficiency, health professions education and practice, and biomedical innovation. His expertise is in health law, regulatory theory, antitrust, and professional responsibility. He is currently a member of the National Academy of Medicine, National Academy of Medicine Committee on the Future of Nursing 2020-2030, Board on Health Care Services, National Academies of Science, and The Academy of Medicine, Engineering, and Science of Texas. Dr. Sage has written over 200 articles and has authored or edited four books, including the Oxford Handbook of U.S. Health Law (2016).
