Slice & Dice with the Dean

Join EPPS and Dr. Jennifer Holmes as we feature a different recipe every month. Selected recipes can be easily altered for vegetarian and non-vegetarian individuals.

Grandma Peggy’s Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 16oz pasta of your choice
    • Classic is elbow pasta, but whole wheat rotini works well, too
  • Milk
  • American Cheese
    • Get the high quality cheese made from milk
  • Plus at least one of the following cheeses:
    • Cheddar, Colby, Monterrey Jack, Smoked Gouda, Havarti, Fontina
      • American, Colby and Cheddar makes a great combination

Optional:

  • Mustard Powder
  • Cooked Protein
    • Bacon, ground beef or turkey
  • Make a soupier sauce and then bake it with crab or lobster for a splurge
