Fred has written and performed seventy-eight original theatre pieces. He has been hailed as “a theatrical virtuoso” by the NY Times, a “writer, editor, director, musician, mask-maker extraordinaire” by the LA Times, a “theatrical genius … supremely talented artist” by The Dallas Morning News.

After receiving drama degrees from the High School of Performing Arts in N.Y., and from Queens College, Curchack studied Indian Kathakali, Japanese Noh, Balinese Topeng, African dance, choreography with Alwin Nikolais, and he trained with Grotowski’s Polish Theatre Lab. He is Professor of Theatre at The University of Texas at Dallas.
