Values Lab: Thomas Rocha, Truth and Other Lies

Join us this Thursday as M.A. student and lab member Thomas Rocha presents "Truth and Other Lies," a work of creative nonfiction.

Description:
An essay understood in the formal sense, 'to attempt', which examines the notion of truth in relation to activity. How do we ‘do truth’ in our lives? Or is truth only an object? While the work will be, I hope, rigorous, it is not in the main intended for academic philosophy journals, but instead something like creative nonfiction journals. I will mostly be looking for comments on style, clarity, and experience.

Email Matthew J Brown to get a copy of the paper ahead of time.

The Values in Science Research Laboratory is a weekly meeting of faculty and student affiliates of the Center for Values in Medicine, Science, and Technology and our guests to present and discuss research in progress and readings on shared areas of interest.

Please contact Matthew J Brown for information on how to attend the meeting or join the lab.
