In partnership with the Student Affairs (SA) Professional Development Committee (PDC), Intercultural Programs (ICP) will offer the Introduction to Intercultural Competence Workshop to SA Professional Staff to reflect and understand the basics of interculturalism and how culture impacts interpersonal communication, professional relationships, and the service we provide to our student population.

SA Professional Staff will reflect on “cultural self-awareness,” while recognizing how unconscious reactions to nonverbal behaviors and communication styles affect judgments about others. Attendees will increase their knowledge and skills to overcome cultural differences.

The workshop is designed for no more than thirty (30) SA Professionals. Registration is required.

If you attending this Workshop, consider attending Intercultural Competence Workshop Level II, which will be offered on Friday, October 20 (10-11:30am).
